It’s a known fact that Stella Marquez Araneta has been importing evening gowns from Colombia to be worn by the Philippine candidate to Miss Universe through the years. But due to insistent demands, clamors, and complaints, Araneta agreed to let a Filipino-designed gown be worn by our rep this year–Pia Wurtzbach–and she won!

Pia worn a classic red gown by Oliver Tolentino during the MU2015 preliminaries and a royal blue gown by Albert Andrada during the finals, and she emerged victorious!

I’m not saying that Pia won because of those gowns but it contributed a lot in making her confidently beautiful with a heart.
