Jose Mari Chan holds the record of having two of the top-selling OPM albums by a Filipino recording artist of all time.

Based from the list of best-selling albums in the Philippines by the The Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), Jose Mari Chan holds the distinction of having the no. 1 OPM album of all time by a Filipino artist. His album “Christmas In Our Hearts” which was released in 1990 has sold 800,000 copies and was certified 2 x Diamond. Chan also holds runner-up position with his 1989 release “Constant Change” which also sold around 800,000 copies but only reached single Diamond status.

Please take note that in the overall (foreign/international albums included) list, Mexican superstar Thalia of the “MariMar” fame holds the record of having the best-selling album in the Philippines of all time for “Nandito Ako” for having sold 1 million copies in 1997. Although it’s considered an OPM album, Thalia is a foreign artist that’s why she’s not included in our list.
