Did you know that international rockstar Arnel Pineda from the American band ‘Journey’ is a winner against asthma?
It’s quite ironic that Journey frontman Arnel Pineda has asthma considering the fact that he and his band–Journey–are always on Tour in different parts of the globe and thereby dwelling in different kinds of temperature and not to mention strenuous rehearsals everyday. And being the lead singer of the band requires him to have strong lungs because several of the songs that he sings have high notes that he must always hit.
Despite all these factors that could trigger an asthma attack, the Filipino rockstar is a proud winner against the disease.
During the press conference for “The Search for Winners Against Asthma” on October 7 at Makati Shangrila, Arnel shared his ordeal with the disease.
But he doesn’t let asthma hinder his job as an international rockstar and as a father.
Siyempre, everybody knows I’m a father, family man. Then I’m always on tour, masyadong stressful.
“Bottomline, to sum it up, di ito something na tine-take for granted kasi napakalaking blessing nito sa akin at sa pamilya ko and at the same time maraming Filipino, they are so proud of you, dala ko ang bandila natin,” he said.
Arnel Pineda captivates audiences around the world with his vocal prowess. He also captives people by winning against asthma every day. He is a living proof that the disease should not be a deterrent from living one’s life to the fullest.
