During the press conference for the new TV5 sitcom “Misterless Misis” last July 28 at Max’s Tomas Morato, Ruffa Gutierrez shared her two cents on the independent women of today:

“For me the women of today are getting more and more successful, they’re getting younger, and if you look around you bibihira na lang ngayon ‘yung babaeng nasa bahay lang na umooo na lang sa asawa, everyone’s getting independent, they’re all empowered and that’s how I would like to raise my children. So i think pabata ng pabata ang mga kabataan ngayon na gustong maging independent specially sa mga kababaihan and for me I would like to teach my children to be independent and never to rely on a man for anything, she said.

In “Misterless Misis,” Ruffa plays the role of Diana, a separated wife who never gives up on her hopes of finding Mr. Right. Diana believes that there is no rule written in any book that indicates that you can only love one person in this lifetime.

Ruffa joins other independent women like Gelli de Belen, Andie Gomez, Lorna Tolentino, Ritz Azul and Ms. Mitch Valdez in “Misterless Misis,” a comedy program that highlights the modern-day lives of today’s Filipino women, showcasing the fulfillment and challenges of being independent women at the same time depicting them in a realistically funny way.

Directed by Mark Meily (“The Crying Ladies”), the new sitcom will premiere on August 9 at 9:00pm and it will air every Saturday on TV5.
