A picture can paint a thousand words, but in a time full of selfies and overrated photos, GMA Networks transcends photoshoots, styling and photographs to a much larger picture.

In celebration of their 65 years as one of the country’s leading television station, the Kapuso Network continues with their objective in “Making a Difference in the Hearts and Lives of the Filipino People.” This year they have launched one of its biggest innovations in the digital platform – THE BLOGGER’S STYLE CAMP, a fashion photography competition were Kapuso celebrities, bloggers team up to show pictures with a cause.

WINNING TEAM-UPS

The BLOGGER’S STYLE CAMP which began last month enlisted the Network’s esteemed and talented love teams of this generation: Team GabRu – Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid, Team BiGuel – Blanca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, Team KrisJoy – Kristorffer Martin and Joyce Ching, and Team Rastro – Rhian Ramos and Glaiza de Castro – to team up with the country’s most influential entertainment, lifestyle, beauty and fashion bloggers.

STARS WITH A PURPOSE

These four teams were challenged to come-up with a photo shoot that reflects the Kapuso Network’s theme: “Making a Difference in the Hearts and Lives of the Filipino People”. As a result, each team were able to emanate strong issues and visually transport them into each frame and model.

Team GabRu presented an Avant-Garde environment-themed pictorial. Team BiGuel went to portray the importance of education. Team KrisJoy captured into still the anti-bullying concept while the tandem of the ground-breaking series The Richman’s Daughter TeamRastro captured the controversial theme of gender equality.

PICTURE PERFECT

The first batch of photo lay-outs were released on line via the www.gmanetwork.com/bsc. Through the website, fans were able to vote and root for their favorite teams in the following categories: People’s Choice Award, Female Super Stunner Award, and Marvelous Male Award.

To make sure the most note-worthy team is chosen, the Style Camp Participants’s entries were scrutinously judged by a panel of judges including Advertising Photographer Mr. Rene Mejia, Actress and Host Ms. Nina Ricci Alagao and Creative Consultant Mr. Celso Divino. To bestow the most creative interpretation and presentation, judges were guided by the following criteria: creativity, originality, composition, relevance to the theme, and artistic merit.

The event culminated last June 17, 2015 at URBN Bar and Kitchen at the Bonifacio Global City where the final photo layouts and awarding took place.

CAMP WINNERS

The BLOGGERS’ STYLE CAMP CULMINATION NIGHT showcased the results of the artists and bloggers’ collaboration where Team GabRu won 1st place, followed by Team KrisJoy at 2nd place, Team BiGuel came in on 3rd place while Team RaStro was awarded the 4th Place.

For the People’s Choice Award Team RaStro took home the award while Team RaStro Glaiza de Castro won The Female Super Stunner Award. On the Marvelous Male Award the young Kapuso Heartthrob received the accolade.
