Liza Dino

By the time Liza Dino decided to move to the US in 2008 to pursue her culinary aspirations, she knew can become a great chef, creating beautiful dishes from her own hands. After completing a certificate program in Culinary Arts at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts in Hollywood California, she worked as a lead line cook at SPAGO Beverly Hills, owned by the famous TOP chef Wolfgang Puck and his fine dining group. During her stay, she managed to cook for celebrities, helped cater the NBA All Stars Event, Ambassadors for Humanity Gala, and the prestigious Oscars in 2011 to name a few.

By the time she became Mrs. Liza Dino Seguerra, everything about her passion for cooking fell into place when ETalent Management and Entertainment pushed her brand as a “Kitchen Queen” in 2014. The youtube channel contained webisodes which gave fun and fresh ideas on easy-to-cook meals. The channel was created to encourage mothers and aspiring cooks to become their very own “Kitchen Queen.”

Chef Liza always had a love affair for food. “I remember growing up, lingering around the kitchen, watching my uncle and grandma cook gourmet Filipino dishes for our weekend salo-salo. At ten, I learned how to smell fish, touch the meat and squeeze fruit to find the finest ingredients in the farmers market. But it wasn’t until 2010 that I decided to professionalize my passion for cooking.” Liza shared.

Here in the Philippines, she and her husband Aiza are now venturing into a business —ADOBO IN A JAR. Slowly but surely, Chef Liza cooks, prepares, and delivers her signature dish to clients, a meal considered by husband Aiza as “the best ADOBO in the world.”

Why Adobo?

“It was the first dish that my uncle taught me,” Liza shared. “Aiza loved my adobo recipe nung nagliligawan pa lang kami.” she added. The couple decided to share this Filipino favorite meal, “kung ano ‘yong nagpapasaya sa amin, gusto namin matikman at maexperience ng lahat,” Liza added. This year, after launching their business, Chef Liza and the ADOBO in a JAR business will be featured as part of the concessionaire of the Open Ktichen, happening at the UP Town Centre on June 19, 20 and 21. Her Kitchen Queen channel is also an official part of ABSCBN’s digital platform, “Chicken Pork Adobo” network. Lastly, Chef Liza and Aiza will soon put up their own restaurant —- Adobo Project.
