The three coaches of “The Voice Kids” have just started recruiting kiddie artists on their teams, but viewers nationwide are already glued to the top-rating program as they continue to watch it every weekend.

Based on data from Kantar Media, “The Voice Kids’” national TV ratings soared last weekend, making it the most watched program nationwide. Last Saturday (June 13), it recorded 40.7%, or 13 points higher than rival program “Magpakailanman’s” 27.66%. “The Voice Kids” also ruled the ratings game last Sunday (June 14) when it hit a national TV rating of 39.9%, beating “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” which got 27.59%.

Aside from being a viewer favorite, “The Voice Kids,” including its alumni, recently collected awards from different award-giving bodies. The program was recently named the Top Reality Talent Search at the 46th Guillermo Mendoza Box-Office Entertainment Awards. “The Voice Kids” Season 1 grand winner Lyca Gairanod, meanwhile, was hailed the Child Star of the Year at the recently held Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) List Year 2, while runner-up Darren Espanto was awarded Male Teen Star of the Year.

This weekend, coaches Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and Lea Salonga continue to give it their all to convince kiddie artists to join their respective teams. What happends when coach Sarah shows off Lyca’s trophy to woo an artist? Will Bamboo and Lea do something to get back at her?

As of now, coach Sarah has already completed half of her team consisting of Iya Dator, Alyssa Celo, Francis Ryan Lim, Gian Tambis Ale, Ken Membrano, Krystle Campos, Kyle Echarri, and Zephanie Dimaranan.

Making up Kamp Kawayan, meanwhile, are Altair Aguelo, Atascha Mercado, Christian Pasno, Lance Macalinao, and Romeo Espino. Team Lea, so far, has enlisted three artists: Bianca Marbella, Reynan Dal-anay, and Stephanie Jordan.

Don’t miss the continuation of the blind auditions in “The Voice Kids” Season 2 this Saturday (June 19), 6:45PM and Sunday (June 20), 7PM on ABS-CBN.
