Gilas Cadets Win PH’s 29th Gold Medal in SEA Games 2015

Gilas Cadets dominated Indonesia during the men’s basketball finals on Monday, June 15, at the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore. The score is 72-64 in favor of the Philippine basketball team which marked our 29th gold medal in the biennial meet. Indonesia settled for silver. This is the 17th win of the Philippines in the history of SEA GAMES basketball.

Previous silver medalist–Thailand–was defeated by Team Singapore in the battle for 3rd place.

Meanwhile, Malaysia reigned supreme in women’s basketball beating the team from Indonesia who also settled for silver. Thailand placed 3rd.
