Sharon Cuneta Comes Back Home to ABS-CBN
In 2011, Sharon Cuneta’s transfer to TV5 became such a shocking news to her legions of fans specially that ABS-CBN has been her home for 23 years. Her deciding factor, according to rumors, is the alleged PhP 1 billion contract offered by the Kapatid Network.
She spent almost 3 years in the country’s 3rd largest TV station where she had an afternoon talk show “Sharon: Kasama Mo, Kapatid,” a weekly musical variety show “The Mega and the Songwriter” and the very first primetime sitcom of her career, “Madam Chairman.” And then August last year, she announced her departure from TV5.
After taking a six-month hiatus, the Megastar made an announcement of her return by posting the following on her Facebook page last March 5, 2015:
The countdown from no. 10 that day went down to no. 2 on Sunday which makes today, March 9, the day of the big announcement.
ABS-CBN, on the other hand, is also making a big announcement today. And over the weekend, the Kapamilya network has been airing a teaser with the question: “Na-miss niyo ba Sha?#8221;
If you will connect the dots, Sharon is indeed coming back to her mother studio–ABS-CBN–as supported by one of the headlines posted by Inquirer.net on Sunday which says: “Sharon Cuneta to make a ‘grand’ comeback in ABS-CBN.” Besides, there’s no other celebrity in this country we call “Sha” as the Megastar is known as Ate Shawie by her fans which means the Kapamilya network’s teaser about “Sha” pertains to no other than Sharon Cuneta herself.
In a few hours, if there won’t be any problems, ABS-CBN will release an official statement with regards to the return of the Megastar. Stay tuned…
