Last Battle Pairs in ‘The Voice of the Philippines’ Compete for Spot in Knockouts

Don’t miss the last ten battle rounds in the top-rating and Twitter-trending “The Voice of the Philippines” this weekend (Dec 20 and 21), as two coaches use their last chance to steal to finalize the lineup of artists who will move on to the knockout rounds.

Rizza vs Carol

Tune in to see who will deliver a more powerful performance from Kamp Kawayan with four-chair turner Kai Honasan vs athletic vocalist Patricia Gomez (“Somewhere Over the Rainbow”), singing contest veteran Dang Del Rosario vs another four-chair turner Joniver Robles (“Lean on Me”), and freelance singer Karlo Mojica vs tattoo artist Sean Oquendo (“Rude”).

Coach Sarah, meanwhile, will pit college student Rizza Cabrera and freelance singer i Carol Leus (“I Don’t Wanna Wait”) against each other, as well as theater star and four-chair turner Poppert Bernadas and pastor’s son Jireh Singson (I’ll Never Go”).

Coach Apl also shapes up his team with breathtaking performances from Boracay musician Ferns Tosco vs 16 year-old-rocker Krystina Ng “(The Winner Takes It All”), as well as Internet videoke star Alisah Bonaobra vs full-time mom and vocalist Abbey Pineda (“Unconditionally”), and jingle recording artist Samantha Felizco vs band vocalist Daryl Ong (“I Finally Found Someone”).

Representing Team Lea in the final battle rounds are radio personality Charles Catbagan and videoke addict Julienne Caneda (“Against All Odds”), and former Stonefree vocalist Miro Valera and Christelle Tiquis (“Magkasuyo Buong Gabi”).

Poppert vs Jireh

As of last week, coach Sarah has already acquired Jason Fernandez and Shaira Cervancia using the steal mechanism, while coach Bamboo hired Elmerjun Hilario and Arnee Hidalgo. Coaches Apl and Lea, on the other hand, have recruited Casper Biancaflor and Suy Galvez, respectively, and still have one steal each to use this weekend.

In the knockout rounds that will kick off next week, expect an unexpectedly tougher competition on “The Voice of the Philippines” stage, as two artists from each team will again be pitted against each other by performing a song of their choice. But unlike in the battle rounds, the artists won’t immediately be informed about who their contender is going to be.

Don’t miss the final battle rounds in “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 2 this Saturday (Dec 20), 8:45PM and Sunday (Dec 21), 8:30 PM on ABS-CBN.
