Doodle4Google 2014 Philippines Winner Announced

With over 51,000 entries from various schools around the country, 15-year-old Kim Saren from Compostela Valley emerged as the overall winner of Doodle4Google Philippines 2014. The announcement was held on November 7 at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia.

This year’s theme was “What would you do for the Philippines?” and the artwork of Kim Patrick S. Saren from Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School garnered the highest number of public votes:

This doodle is a “SariManok” inspired idea. It symbolizes Filipino culture with deep appreciation of hardwork and creativity. The concept is created to solve problems like traffic, economy, education and basic needs. The key on the tail-end signifies the solutions to the problems where in we must fly high with pride and honor.

Saren’s work came from the 15 to 17 age group. Winners from 5 to 8, 8 to 11, and 12 to 14 age groups were also announced during the event.
