Finals Night of ‘Himig Handog 2014’ Slated this September 28

The highly anticipated finals night of the country’s biggest multimedia songwriting competition, “Himig Handog Pinoy Pop (P-Pop) Love Songs 2014,” will happen on September 28 (Sunday) at the Araneta Coliseum. Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Robi Domingo, and Alex Gonzaga will host the event.

In the culmination of the latest edition of “Himig Handog,” the top 15 finalist songs, written by a mix of veteran and amateur Filipino composers, will be performed by some of the brightest recording stars in the country.

Morissette will be the interpreter for “Akin Ka Na Lang” by Francis Louis Salazar, Jessa Zaragosa for “Bumabalik ang Nagdaan” by Sarah Jane Gandia, Jovit Baldivino for “Dito” by Raizo Brent Chabeldin and Biv De Vera, Ebe Dancel with Abra for “Halik sa Hangin” by David Dimaguila, Angeline Quinto for “Hanggang Kailan” by Jose Joel Mendoza, Juris for “Hindi Wala” by Nica del Rosario, Jed Madela for “If You Don’t Want to Fall” by Jude Gitamondoc, Janella Salvador for “Mahal Kita Pero” by Melchora Mabilog, KZ for “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako” by Edwin Marollano, Michael Pangilinan for “Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako” by Jovinor Tan, Marion Aunor featuring Rizza and Seed for “Pumapag-ibig” by Jungee Marcelo, Daniel Padilla for “Simpleng Tulad Mo” by Meljohn Magno, Bugoy Drilon for “Umiiyak ang Puso” by Rolando Azor, and Jugs and Teddy for “Walang Basagan ng Trip” by Eric De Leon. Songwriter-finalist Hazel Faith dela Cruz will be the interpreter of her composition, “Everything Takes Time.”

Just like its previous runs, “Himig Handog” will be giving away special awards aside from the grand prize. Fans can still continue voting for their favorite song entries and interpreters in various platforms such as MOR 101.9 for “MOR’s Choice” by texting MORHHSONG<1 to 15> to 2331, Himighandog.abs-cbn.com for ‘Online Choice for Favorite Interpreter,” TFC.tv for “TFC Choice,” via Starstudio Magazine’s September issue for “Starstudio’s Choice;” and through the “Himig Handog” album itself for “Star Records Listeners’ Choice.” The CD is now available on all record stores nationwide for only P299. It can also be downloaded per track for P25.00 each.

Aside from the “Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs” CD, the 15 finalist songs are also featured in music videos created by the students from some of the country’s most prestigious universities, including University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo De Manila University, DLSU-College of Saint Benilde, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Far Eastern University, Adamson University, University of the East, San Beda College-Alabang, San Sebastian College, Mapua Institute of Technology, MINT (Meridian International) College, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, St. Paul University, and Miriam College. The music videos are aired on MYX SkyCable channel 23.

  2. I think the consignment delnidae for Buckeye is normally in November, but the March sale normally fills up way before then, so the best option is to call and ask. I think the Signature sale hasn’t even started taking consignments.The Buckeye sales are mostly Amish buyers, though there are exceptions. We’ve sold/purchased quite a few show horses through this sale with success. But this sale brings about 250 consignment horses and a lot of quality if looking to buy at a good price.The Signature sale is more geared towards show horses, but they do take nonshow consignments. This sale has more show homes , but there are also a lot of Amish that come to the sale as well.We’ve purchased show prospects through both sales and did well with them.
