2012 Century Superbods winner John Spainhour is all set to win the first Mister World title for the Philippines.

Cory Quirino, the local franchise holder of Miss World and Mister World pageants, announced via a press conference over the weekend that the Mister World Philippines 2014 title is being assigned to Filipino-American John Spainhour following a series of auditions last May 29 in Glorietta 5. The underwear model is now competing against 47 other gorgeous men from around the world for the Mister 2014 title which is currently happening in England.

Quirino and the board of judges who picked Spainhour as the official delegate are optimistic that the Philippines will score a twin victory in the London-based pageants following the historical win of Megan Young in the Miss World 2013 pageant last year. The Fil-Am model’s advantage is that he spent five years in the United States Marine Corps, as part of the elite sniper team and the experience will help him in the physical challenges in Mister World.

John is currently in England enjoying the competition and meeting OFWs in the country. On his official Facebook page for Mister World, our delegate uploaded some photos featuring him and some Filipinos he met along the way:
