‘Be Careful With My Heart’ Now a Hit in Vietnam and Malaysia
The well-loved family series currently enjoys an average of 1.6 million viewers in Malaysia everyday via Media Prima, which is considerably high for a foreign content airing on Malaysian free TV.
Just like Filipinos, Malaysians would share their thoughts to their social media accounts to express how much they adore the romance between nanny Maya (Jodi Sta.Maria) and her boss Sir Chief (Richard Yap). It created such a buzz online that “Be Careful with My Heart” landed in the top ten Twitter trending topics in Malaysia.
Malaysian viewers embrace the series because of its light but engaging plot. They find it unique and just full of good vibes since the story doesn’t have an antagonist unlike the usual soap operas on TV. They are also delighted with the sweetness and politeness of the characters.
From Malaysia, the “Be Careful with My Heart” fever crosses over to Vietnam where it is also a widely-followed Filipino series airing every 7:00pm via Today TV.
According to Lam Chi Thien, the executive chairman and CEO of International Media JS Company, Vietnamese are endeared towards the show because they can relate to its characters and what they represent in society.
“Maya and Sir Chief are very down to earth and they represent the working class in the society,” he said in an interview with the Philippines primetime newscast “TV Patrol.”

BCWMH reminds me of the movie “The Sound Of Music!” nina Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer minus the musical genre. But still, it works dahil ginawa na nilang contemporary.
and siguro, hindi lang pinoy ang mahilig sa fairy tale romance, kaya pumatok din sa ibang asian country ang BCWMH.

BCWMH has a global theme, any family in the world can relate…and with the cast led by JSM and RY, the more it has become this phenomenon, no one can explain…but it surely brings positive vibes to everyone…this is the only show that I can proudly say ” made in the Philippines” the others, all garbage and should not be aired at all….my friends and I are all proud to be BCWMH fans…
i really love the show… no matter how busy i am i find time to watch it.i love the character and persona of sir chief and maya,,, i can nolonger disassociate jodi from maya sir chief from RY/ cause they are so matched. o talk about their chemistry as if they are meant for each other…. did you see how intimate they are,,, on their intimate moments,,,,, oh mggggg i can write a whole noble to talk about them…. their story…. parang ayaw ko cya magend…..
