The team of "Maalaala Mo Kaya," led by its host and ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio and "MMK" business unit head Malou Santos, flew to Cebu for a special "MMK Reunion" that was attended by thousands of "MMK" letter-senders from Cebu, Bohol, and Dumaguete City.

During the event, Charo expressed her gratitude to the letter-senders who have inspired Filipinos worldwide through their life stories that were featured on the show. She also thanked all the Kapamilya viewers in Visayas for watching “MMK” for more than 20 years now. Also part of “MMK Reunion” was the gathering of new life stories from Kapamilyas in the Visayas region.
