John Lloyd Cruz has always been our favorite actor — may he be fat or not. With John Lloyd, we won’t require some abs for us to view him as one of the sexiest men in the Philippine showbiz. He is one and will always be.

So these news and photos that came out last night showing John Lloyd in a leaner body after losing 18 pounds due to a diet program came as a surprise. Getting the chubby John Lloyd as their endorser is definitely a good move for Century Tuna which annual Century Tuna Superbods competition in Boracay, showcasing abs and muscles of some hot guys and gals in the Philippines, attracts hordes of meat-eating, errr, fish-eating people.

Revealing John Lloyd as their newest endorser was last night’s highlight. A very successful intro for it gets the people talking. For someone like me whose also into a not-so-strict diet program (read this blog entry), and for everyone out there who’d love to lose some fats, this is interesting.

But is John Lloyd now back on track? We all know what happened to his ‘Beautiful Affair’ with our another favorite, Bea Alonzo — a not so successful series that was believed to have been discontinued because of John Lloyd’s being an alcoholic, affecting taping schedules. Maybe that’s why he has been not so visible the past months. We see nothing wrong with drinking beers and all but if it’s affecting work, it becomes bad, especially for a ‘hunk’ like John Lloyd who we always wanna see in movies and on TV.
