This week, broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez and the ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau Team led by Danny Buenafe have been delivering special reports on the life of the two Popes, their roots, priesthood and papacy, miracles, legacy, and devotion to the Lord and His flock.

The historic event will be covered by ABS-CBN on TV, cable TV, radio, and online. The actual canonization ceremony, meanwhile, will be aired live from the Vatican City at 4 PM on ABS-CBN. The special coverage of the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) will be anchored by Karmina Constantino and will be streamed live on ABS-CBNNews.com beginning 3PM. DZMM Radyo Patrol Sais Trenta and DZMM TeleRadyo will also give non-stop updates on the event starting at 2 PM.

The main canonization ceremony will be aired in full by ANC, DZMM, and ABS-CBNNews.com. Aside from the latest developments from the Vatican, ABS-CBN will provide live reports from the Araneta Coliseum and the Pope John Paul II Chapel in Eastwood where special masses and tributes will be held.

The country’s largest news organization will also go full force in covering the visit of U.S. President Barack Obama – his fifth in Asia and the first in the Philippines on Monday and Tuesday (April 28-29).

ABS-CBN, ANC, DZMM, and ABS-CBNNews.com will follow him upon his arrival, his meeting and briefing with Pres. Benigno Aquino III, the state dinner, as well as his expected visits to Rizal Park, Fort Bonifacio, and the American Cemetery.

Aside from the up-to-date reports, ABS-CBN News will give an in-depth look not only at the events of the visit, but also at what it means for the Philippines and the Asian region.
