Tuason admitted she served as a conduit between Janet Lim Napoles and several lawmakers, who are accused to have misused their Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF). The Aquino Administration claims Napoles allegedly orchestrated the PDAF scam, involving up to P10B.

Tuason returned to the Philippines last February 7, 2014 from the United States and applied for inclusion into the government’s Witness Protecting Program. In her affidavit, Tuason said she is ready to divulge what she knows of the PDAF.

This special coverage is part of News5’s commitment to keep the public informed and make them more knowledgeable about issues of national interest.

News5 has also aired a special documentary “Mula Buwis Hanggang PDAF: A News5 Special on Pork Barrel” last year, where TV5 News Chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes scrutinized the controversial Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF). It gave the public a highly informative walk-through on how the government spends its state funds, from the taxes citizens pay, all the way to PDAF.
