‘The Eccentric Family,’ ‘Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East’ and ‘Karneval’ on Hero TV this January

Hero TV jumpstarts 2014 by bringing in brand new titles that will take viewers on new a journey of camaraderie and self-discovery this January.

“The Eccentric Family,” “Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East,” and “Karneval” join the line-up of Hero TV adding a new dynamic to the current anime family that we all know and love.

Humans, raccoon dogs, and legendary creatures co-exist in “The Eccentric Family,” a fun-filled anime series set in one of Japan’s enchanting cities – Kyoto. The combination of folklore, comedy, and mythology will surely give a hero banging start to the year every Monday to Friday beginning January 24 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

“Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East” features two siblings who survived a war five years ago. Will their past define their future? Or will they make history that will forever be told? Elements of fantasy and moments of mystery start colliding Mondays to Fridays beginning January 8 from 11 PM to 12 AM.

Welcome the circus but don’t let the good looking guys of “Karneval” fool you for they are the strongest and the most capable fighters in town! Watch them perform raids to capture criminals and solve crimes that the security force cannot handle during their five-episode marathon every Saturday starting January 11 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.

Returning in 2014 are “My Bride is a Mermaid,” “Giant Killing,” Season 3 of Reborn!,” Season 5 of “Naruto Shippuuden,” “Gundam UC,” “.Hack//G.U. Trilogy,” “Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade,” “Vampire Hunter,” and “Dubber’s Cut: featuring Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East.”

  1. What’s the point that a 13-episode anime like “The Eccentric Family” will be aired Monday to Friday for 1 hour?
