Four months after booking a slot to the FIBA World Cup in Spain, Sports5 and the MVP Sports Foundation will launch today a special coffee table book titled "11 Days in August: Gilas Pilipinas and the Quest for Basketball Glory," which chronicles the journey of Gilas Pilipinas at the FIBA Asia Championship tournament held in Manila.

The book goes on sale this afternoon at the PBA game in SMART Araneta Coliseum starting at 5pm. Gilas Pilipinas players will be available to sign copies of the book.

This special limited edition 280-page book recounts the eleven riveting days in August that kept this basketball-crazed nation hooked to the exploits, challenges and triumphs of Gilas Pilipinas on its way to clinching a seat at the FIBA World Championship in 2014.

“11 Days in August” is published by the ADMU616569 Foundation for Sports5 with the help of Smart, PLDT, Meralco & TV5 and is priced at PhP 3,500.00 per copy.
