It's the 13th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, the beauty contest deemed by several pageant insiders as an organization that is having a hard time living up to its own objectives.

But with other experts still considering this Philippine-born event to be part of the Big 4 of the global pageants, Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International being the other three, crowning its 13th winner will still be a news.

There are 88 delegates and in a year contested between the Philippines and Venezuela as the most triumphant in the pageant arena, their representatives are also leading Miss Earth’s tally board.

The coronation night is scheduled 8PM tonight at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City with a delayed, next-day telecast on ABS-CBN, 11AM, tomorrow, December 8, 2013.
