Bea Binene Hopes for 2nd Platinum Record Award with New Album ‘Dito sa Puso Ko’

After the resounding success of her debut album "Hey It's Me" last year which won an ASAP 24K Gold Record Award and eventually reached platinum status, Bea Binene gears up for another milestone in her career by releasing her new album from Polyeast Record called "Dito sa Puso Ko."

Bea Binene

Being one of the brightest tween stars of the Kapuso Network, Bea Binene is a triple threat: she can act, she can dance and she can sing. At a young age of 16, she already accomplished several milestones in her career like bagging lead roles in teleseryes such as “Alice Bungisngis and Her Wonder Walis,” starred in several movies like “Tween Academy: Class of 2012,” “Ang Panday 2,” “My Kontrabida Girl,” and of course releasing a debut album that has reached, not only gold, but platinum record status!

Now, Bea is back on the music scene to duplicate or even surpass the feat of having a platinum record award with the release of her new album from Polyeast Records called “Dito Sa Puso Ko.” The Kapuso teen star delightfully announced that fellow Kapuso talent and close friend Ken Chan is featured in the album. He contributed three songs: The Boyfriends’ “Nais Kong Malaman Mo,” and two versions of “Sumayaw, Sumunod,” plus two duets with Bea: “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” and “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal.’

“My new album has more songs for my fans and music-lovers and this time, we invited Ken Chan as my guest in the album. The songs were chosen by my label except for some songs I chose myself,” the Kapuso teen star said.

Known for the teen pop genre, Bea also gives some classic favorites a modern/fresh sound in some songs from the album like Sharon Cuneta’s “High School Life,” DJ Alvaro’s “Ang Tipo Kong Lalaki,” and Ogie Alcasid’s “Dito Sa Puso Ko,” which serves as the carrier single.

Aside from ballads, Bea also included upbeat pop songs such as personal favorite “Asa Ka Pa” and a cover of the hit song “Whoops Kirri.”

When asked who is her idol when it comes to singing, Bea revealed that it’s Anne Curtis. The reason: her passion in everything she does. Just like Bea, Anne is also a platinum recording artist, a feat seldom achieved even by veteran singers.

“Music has always been a part of me, and having a career in music has always been in my bucket list since I was a kid,” Bea shared. “I started learning how to play guitar and I think I found a new love for it. I’ve been playing the guitar to songs from the new album and I’m having fun,” she added.
