Mister International 2013 is probably one of the toughest male competition this year with 38 equally-gorgeous hunks from different countries are vying for the title.

We did take a look at the contestants and gauge on what’s the chance of Philippines’ bet, Gil Wagas to winning the 8th Mister International title. And to tell you honestly, Gil is up against hottest hunks in the world.

But despite the this, his chance to bringing home the first Mister International title for the Philippines is big. His major assets? A manly, unique look, his height, and a lean body perfect for modelling.

Standing 6.3-feet tall, this Lapu-Lapu City’s native was crowned Mister Philippines International 2013 on June 21, in the final’s night this writer personally witnessed at the Fil-Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.

During the local competition, which was graced by Mister International 2012 Ali Hammoud of Lebanon himself, Wagas instantly emerged as a strong contender against several other equally-handsome Pinoy men that night. From the moment he entered the stage, all eyes were set on him as he struted his body, which, during that time wasn’t as refined as it is today.

Wagas was one of our favorites that night, together with Cainta’s Troy Cuizon and Negros’ Billy Villeta.
