Korina Sanchez is Not Suspended According to an ABS-CBN Insider
Yesterday, rumors about Korina Sanchez being suspended by ABS-CBN management for “attacking” Anderson Cooper on her DZMM radio program circulated on various social media sites and blogs.
The speculations were ignited by Korina’s absence on primetime newscast TV Patrol starting Thursday. She was replaced temporarily by Bernadette Sembrano. The veteran journalist was also missing on her DZMM morning radio program “Rated Korina” since last Friday. She was replaced temporarily by Jasmin Romero.
The reason for the alleged suspension? Some netizens believe that it was ignited by Korina’s controversial commentary on her radio program last November 13, rebuking Anderson Cooper’s claim the day before that “there was no government presence on the Yolanda-affected areas.” The “Rated K” host received flak from netizens the same day who found her commentary “rude,” “unethical” and “inappropriate.”
The issue ballooned to global proportions after Korina was featured on CNN’s “The World Lead” over the weekend. Read here: Korina Sanchez Featured on CNN for Attacking Anderson Cooper (Video)
Earlier today, Jojo Gabinete of PEP.ph reported that according to an ABS-CBN insider, Korina was not suspended.
“Pinagbakasyon lamang si Korina at maaaring magtagal ito ng dalawang linggo,” he said.
The “source” claimed that the Corporate Communications Department of ABS-CBN has no plan of releasing an official statement regarding the issue.

Sure.. Mas nauna pa si Anderson cooper doon bago government help. Hmmm… And heaven forbid abs-Cbn confirm or deny the suspension, like they’re afraid of her hubby, the politician. It’s crazy that yong top paid news anchor Nila is too good to go out and help those who gave her that star status. And now they can’t even get their story accurate… Is she on vacation or doing field work?? Just tell the truth! Personal opinions isn’t what she gets paid for, it’s accurate news that she should be delivering, not starting a cat fight. Accurate news will only come first hand, if she was actually there. Hmmmm… Was she??? Guess not! Kudos to those Pilipino reporters that was sent there that brought the real news. Yet the ones that the stations pay the most got to sit on their tush and pretended to deliver the news. Btw, for the ones that did go, and had to talk about how long they walked and how much they suffered, maybe less outward news than your own personal pain. Those people that lived through it, and their experiences should be the voice of pain… Remember you got paid to go there, and you were not there by choice. Keep it tight people, ever heard of humility??
kalokohan article at nag comment dito suspension sa pagpahayag ng opinion??? exaggeration naman balimbing talga ibang mga kabyan natin .. tumulong nalang kayo!! makatulong pa kayo sa yolanda victim.. pnoy and his team working hard before and after the typhhon.. sa magnitude lang ng typhoon sa sobrang laki ng scale ng damges sa buong leyte.. isang malaki challenge talga sa goverment.. dahil na paralyze ang local goverment kailangan niyang kumuha ng resource sa national goverment kaya di naksyonan agad …. magbasa at manood ng balita intindihin sitwasyon bago mag react!!!! at sisihin gobyerno…higit sa lahat tumulong nalang ..yon kailangan ng leyte!!!
