Darren Criss, Jessica Sanchez to Raise Funds for Yolanda Victims

Glee star Darren Criss and American Idol Season 11 runner up Jessica Sanchez launched their own campaigns to raise funds for the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda.

Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez announced she will do a concert and a song to benefit the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. In an interview by ABS-CBN News, the former American Idol finalist revealed the first benefit concert will take place online, www.stageit.com, on Friday night at 5 p.m. Pacific time.

“We’re doing a little mini concert on stageit.com. You can get your tickets on stageit.com and they’re only $10 all the proceeds go to the Red Cross. We’re working on a song right now I just wrote it not too long ago to help with the typhoon victims in the Philippines,” she said.

Sanchez is set to return to the country, her 3rd time since her American Idol stint, to team-up with Manny Pacquiao for relief efforts.

Meanwhile, Filipino-Irish singer/actor Darren Criss released a video on YouTube campaigning to his fans to make donations for Yolanda victims. For each one who will donate $25 via his website www.darrencriss.com, Criss will send a special postcard that says “You’re Not Alone” with his autograph:
