According to the country’s top seismologist, the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that rocked the Visayas and Mindanao Tuesday morning was equivalent to “32 Hiroshima bombs.” It was the strongest quake to hit Vizayas in 20 years.

The death toll rose to 32, 16 people from Bohol and 15 from Cebu, officials said.
