FIBA Asia 2013 Champion is Iran, Gilas Pilipinas Bags Silver

FIBA Asia 2013 update: Iran defeated our very own Gilas Pilipinas during the "gold medal match" of the triennial meet Sunday night, August 11, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Considered as one of the most-watched games in the history of FIBA Asia, the championship game was a great fight from first to third quarter until Iran managed to have a 13-point lead over Gilas in the fourth quarter.

Despite failure to win over Iran, the Philippine national men’s basketball team ranked higher winning silver this year from its fourth place finish in 2011. Gilas Pilipinas also secured a ticket for the 2014 FIBA World Championship that will be held in Spain.

  1. malaki lang sila at wala si Doubtit (spelling baka mali). kundi lang ung higante na mukhang kapre talo ang Iran na yan.
