What Makes Bryan Benedict Smile?
Bryan hails from Cebu. He is a graduate, with magna cum laude honors, of Far Eastern University. Prior to his joining “Protégé,” he worked as a dealer in a Cebu casino. And after making it as finalist in the reality artista seach, his dream of becoming an actor on television to please his parents has become a reality when he was cast as Athan in the daytime rom-com series “With A Smile.”
During a recent pocket interview at GMA Network, Bryan said he is happy for being given what he considers his first acting role on television:
“Ang saya, ang gaang ng pakiramdam! Masaya ako dahil natutuwa ang mga fans.”
The Cebuano hunk plays the role of Athan, Aston’s (Christian Bautista) trusted assistant and sidekick on his car wash business in “With A Smile” He is also the leader of the “car wash boys.”
But does he miss “Protege”?
“Oo naman, iba rin kasi ang challenge nun at nakakamiss rin ang mga katrabaho ko, pero dito natural na natural din ang lahat parang ako lang talaga, alaskador at makulit,” he said. And he gets to tease his on screen boss Christian Bautista: “ang sungit kasi ng role niya kaya asar talo si Aston sakin” sabi ng aktor.
What makes Bryan smile every morning?
“Ang parents ko, ang mga blessings in life and God, laging nasa isip ko na lahat ng nakikilala kong tao ay may dahilan at lahat sila ay blessings galing kay God,” he replied.
And when asked if he’s Team Aston or Team Dean, he said:
“Syempre Team Aston ako! Pero hindi ko rin talaga alam kung para kanino talaga si Ate Isay (Andrea Torres), sikreto yan ng production team namin!”
