The erotic novel by E. L. James which has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide is going to be a movie. In fact, Focus Features, the producer of the film, already announced that the big screen adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey” is set to premiere in theaters worldwide on August 1, 2014.

The film will be under the helm of Sam Taylor-Johnson (“Nowhere Boy”) but who will play the virginal Anastasia Steele and her controlling billionaire lover, Christian Grey?

According to reports, the cast will be revealed in the upcoming Comic-Con 2013.

Among the top contenders being discussed on fan pages, Ian Somerhalder, Matthew Bomer, Matt Davis, Robert Pattinson, Alex Pettyfer and Henry Cavill are being favored for the role of Christian Grey. On the other hand, Cosmopolitan magazine Anastasia Steele should be among these 9 actresses: Lucy Hale, Lily Collins, Mila Kunis, Nina Dobrev, Sophia Bush, Alexis Bledel, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart.
