Among the crowd stood Edz, a die-hard Marian fan who returned from Cambodia in time for the mall show. Before the program began, he was just calmly sitting on his chair and talking pictures. But when his idol, Marian Rivera, went up the stage, no one could stop Edz from screaming the actress’ name.
Edz’s efforts paid off when Marian noticed him and called him up the stage. Once on stage, he could still could not believe that he was actually standing side-by-side his idol. Marian asked him to dance with her and he willingly obliged.
Even when the show was over, Edz could still not fully grasp what had just happened.
“Oh my goodness! I am an obsessed fan of Marian since the very beginning of [her career]. I watched all of her movies,” he shared.
“It’s an honor to be able to dance with her on stage. Umuwi ako from Cambodia just so I would be able to watch ‘My Lady Boss.’ I’m very thankful na na-postpone yung showing kasi ngayon mapapanood ko siya,” he added.
“What I like most about Marian is that she is ‘real’ and she really deserves to be called the ‘Primetime Queen’!,” explained Edz.
Apart from Marian and Richard, cast members Ruru Madrid, Dion Ignacio, Sef Cadayona, Jace Flores and Betong Sumaya also participated in the mall show.
After the postponement of the movie’s screening early this year, “My Lady Boss” is finally going to hit theaters nationwide on July 3, with a red carpet premiere scheduled on Sunday, June 30.
Directed by “Zombadings” director Jade Castro, the movie is jointly produced by GMA Films and Regal Entertainment Films.
