Rocco Nacino Reunites with Lovi Poe in New Teleserye ‘Hanggang Ngayon’

After "Love Bug" and "Yesterday's Bride," Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe will team up for the third time in the upcoming primetime drama series on GMA-7, "Hanggang Ngayon."

During a pocket presscon while bonding with his dad at the Elorde Gym in Julia Vargas Avenue, Ortigas last June 19, Rocco Nacino shared with the entertainment press that he is currently prepping up for his second primetime drama series titled “Hanggang Ngayon.”

The project marks the first time that he will be under the direction of Laurice Guillen and the third time that he will team up with Lovi Poe.

Rocco also revealed that actor/director Cesar Montano will return to GMA-7 to be part of the said project.

“It’s gonna to be a huge honor to be working with him [Cesar] talaga. First time kong makakatrabaho si Kuya Buboy,” he said.

That’s why the budding actor is preparing himself for “Hanggang Ngayon” which he considers a major project.

“Ngayon pa lang, di pa ako nag-start ng taping namin, tinawagan ko na ‘yung VP namin asking kung anong klaseng imaging ang gusto nila sa akin, anong klaseng character ang gusto nila para ngayon pa lang I can get into character. Kahit hindi pa ako kasama sa taping nagpaalam ako na gusto ko nang sumama sa taping nila kahit ‘yung mga bata pa lang para mapagaralan ko na,”

Rocco admitted that he’s a little nervous working with Cesar Montano and director Laurice Guillen plus the pressure of being given a primetime project.

“It’s my second primetime, pa lang. So feeling ko first pa rin siya so nar’on pa rin ‘yung kaba. Kumbaga I feel I’ll be working in a new field kasi nasanay ako ng laging hapon e. So more pressure, I’ll be working with new people kaya mas dagdag kaba and di lang basta basta new people, very high caliber actors and director so I need to step up my game.”

Rocco and Lovi will be joined in the primetime series with the newest Kapuso Charee Pineda and “it” girl Solenn Heusaff.

Aside from “Hanggang Ngayon,” Rocco is also doing season 2 of the GMA News TV original series “Bayan Ko,” the Cinemalaya entry “Burgos,” and the film adaptation of the classic Filipino novel “Ibong Adarna.”
