Host Luis Manzano, who recently celebrated his birthday, had no idea that his father Edu Manzano would be the special celebrity player in his hit game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” last Saturday (April 27).

To Luis’ surprise, Edu suddenly popped out of the stage and grooved to his signature “Papaya” dance together with the 24K girls. After seeing his father on stage with him, Luis couldn’t help but burst into tears especially when Edu gave him a tight hug. He quipped, “Isa sa pangarap ko nang tinanggap ko ang deal ay maghost para sa daddy ko and tonight my wish is coming true.” Edu also became emotional and thanked everyone who staged the surprise for his son. “Sa mga taga-ABS-CBN, kahit nandoon ako sa kabilang bakod ay nandirito pa rin kayo sa puso ko,” Edu said.

The veteran TV host, unfortunately, didn’t bag the million-peso jackpot but was able to take home P50,000 from his chosen briefcase number 9.
