‘Saklolo’ Investigates Elevator Accident Rescue

Broadcast journalists Maan Macapagal and Dominic Almelor examine the rescue of a seven-year old kid whose arm was trapped in a mall elevator this Wednesday (April 10) in “Pinoy True Stories: Saklolo.”

Dagul, his sibling, and cousins were just playing at a corner when his arm was suddenly stuck in the elevator. Hours later, Dagul became pallid and almost passed out from losing a lot of blood.

A rescuer arrived and tried to free the kid’s arm but ultimately failed. The rescuer then suggested that Dagul’s arm be amputated, but the kid’s aunt didn’t permit it.

The Metro Manila Development Authority’s Road Emergency Group came to the rescue and eventually freed the arm of Dagul, who was immediately rushed to the hospital. A year after the accident, Dagul is still severely traumatized and is afraid to go near elevators.

Meanwhile, Karen Davila investigates the dilemma of a married couple who is being tirelessly pestered by an alcoholic neighbor tomorrow (April 9) in “Pinoy True Stories: Engkwentro.”
