‘Demandahan’ Tackles Legal Issues in Land Ownership this Thursday

Broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna helps a man with a land ownership problem find legal advice this Thursday (March 7) on “Pinoy True Stories: Demandahan.”

“Mark” needs to sell his family’s remaining land property to fund his father’s medical expenses. However, the illegal settlers who have lived in their property for two decades now refuse to leave. Desperate for money, Mark sold the property’s original land title to a buyer for a down payment of P20,000. When Mark wanted to reclaim the title, the supposed buyer demanded that Mark buy it back for P50,000.

In the episode, Anthony accompanies Mark to Atty. Amanda Carpo to find out how he could properly eject the informal settlers and get the original land title back so he could finally sell their land.
