MTRCB Puts ASAP Under Investigation Over Anne Curtis’ Controversial Number

After Party Pilipinas, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has now put its rival program "ASAP 18" under investigation over Anne Curtis' production number last Sunday, February 24, that some people deemed to be "inappropriate" and "provocative."

Last Sunday, Anne Curtis appeared on ASAP stage to celebrate her 28th birthday. The host/actress performed the Rihanna hit “Diamonds” while being drenched with water. But it was her black strapless gown with a very high slit that got the people’s attention as it appeared as if she’s wearing no underwear.

With or without undies, some people believed it was “provocative” and “inappropriate” for a daytime program like ASAP 18 that’s why the MTRCB summoned the people behind the musical variety show to undergo gender-sensitivity investigation.

MTRCB posted the following on its official Twitter account (@MTRCBgov) on Tuesday, February 26:

Meanwhile, Anne posted a photo of the controversial gown on Instagram. She explained that it was not a wardrobe malfunction as the gown was designed to create an “illusion” (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE).
