Anthony Taberna Seeks Legal Help for Estafa Victim in ‘Demandahan’

Broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna helps out a retired overseas Filipino worker who lost over P700,000 to a swindler in “Pinoy True Stories: Demandahan” on Thursday (Feb 21).

In an act of compassion for a grieving mother, sixty-year old Nestor bought a cellphone and different gadgets from a certain Pamela after she told him that her child was suffering from cancer. Six months after their transaction, Nestor has yet to receive the gadgets he supposedly purchased.

In the episode, Anthony accompanies Nestor to Atty. Hans Santos to know more about estafa. What legal steps should Nestor take in order to have Pamela penalized? Will he still be able to recover the money he earned for decades?
