Sarah Geronimo is Nominated for Favorite Asian Act in the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

After Charice Pempengco last year, Sarah Geronimo is now the Philippine nominee for the Favorite Asian Act category of the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

This is yet another international recognition for the Philippines’ Pop Star Princess who won Favorite Asian Artist Philippines at the 2012 MNET Asian Music Awards. In 2005, Geronimo was awarded with “Pinoy Wannabe Awardee”, also a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards recognition, given to a celebrity whom kids consider as their role model.

Sarah is facing Chinese singer-actor Han Geng, Malaysian singer Shila Amzah and global sensation from South Korea, Psy, who is expected to top this category.

The Kids’ Choice Awards website describes Sarah as the Philippines’ “Popstar Princess” who got her big break at age 14 when she won a TV singing competition with a number of smash albums, box-office hit movies and top-rating TV shows.

The write-up also says that the Kapamilya star is an inspiration to young people and adults alike and a “true Philippine superstar for the 21st century!”

Last year, international singing sensation Charice won the Favorite Asian Act award for the country.

Although it’s quite expected that Psy will win this award this year, we can still show to the world that Pinoys are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to online voting. Absolutely vote for Sarah HERE.

The 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is happening on March 23, 2013 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. Josh Duhamel, the star of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon has been named as the host of the event.

In the Philippines, the awards show will air via the Nickelodeon cable channel on April 6.
