Kicking off “Pagbabago 2013,” its most comprehensive coverage of the elections to-date, NEWS5 takes a closer look at key families in positions of power on "Balwarte." The documentary show will premiere on February 3 (Sunday) from 11pm to 11:45pm on TV5 and Aksyon TV.

Led by its chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes, NEWS5’s experienced pool of anchors profile known Filipino political personalities and discover how even the simplest towns become bulwarks in the race for power and position. For its pilot episode, Valdes will assess Rectos’ reach in Batangas where incumbent governor Vilma Santos-Recto is seeking re-election. The Rectos are joined by the Sanchezes and Levistes, who also have a long history of public service in the province.
