Ben Affleck's "Argo" bested Ang Lee's "Life of Pi" and Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" at the 70th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Ben Affleck, who was recently snubbed in the Oscars’ nomination list, bagged the Globe’s Best Director award.

“Les Miserables” was named Best Comedy/Musical while its stars Hugh Jackman and Anne Hattaway won Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

Jessica Chastain of “Zero Dark Thirty” took home the Best Actress, Drama, trophy while Daniel Day-Lewis of “Lincoln” won the Best Actor, Drama. Jennifer Lawrence, bagged the Best Actress award for Comedy for her film “Silver Linings Playbook.”

On the other hand, television winners included “Girls,” “Homeland,” and “Game Change”.
