The rumors about their break-up surfaced in the last quarter of 2012 but it's only today, January 13, on "The Buzz" that Cristine Reyes and Rayver Cruz confirmed that it's true.

In an interview by ABS-CBN’s showbiz talk show “The Buzz,” which was aired earlier today (January 13), Cristine and Rayver finally admitted that they are no longer in a relationship. The joint reasons given by the ex-couple are their “budding careers” and “priorities to settle.”

Rayver also revealed that he and Cristine called it quits since last year.

“Matagal na kaming naghiwalay, last year pa. We gave our best dito sa relationship namin. Ganun siguro talaga. Hindi naman halos lahat ng relationships nagwo-work ‘di ba?” he said.

Meanwhile, Cristine elucidated that there’s no third party involved in their break-up.

“Siguro kasi bata pa kami pareho. Gusto namin mag-focus sa work. Gusto namin mag-focus sa sarili namin. Walang third party,” she said.

The sexy actress also clarified that there’s no truth to the rumor that Kapatid hunk Derek Ramsay is courting her.

Cristine and Rayver added that they remain good friends despite the break-up.
