Celso Ad Castillo Dead at 69

Celso Ad Castillo, one of the country's top directors, passed away earlier today, November 26, 2012. He was 69.

Castillo’s brother John said the veteran director was rushed to Pakil General Hospital on early Monday after complaining of chest pain. However, he was declared dead on arrival. According to reports, he passed away around 1:45 am due to heart attack. His remains was brought by his family to their home in Sinuluan, Laguna.

Celso Ad Castillo was known for helming the films “Burlesk Queen,” “Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa Balat Ng Lupa” and “Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara.”

He was also an actor. His last stints were in the Cristine Reyes-starrer “Reputasyon” on ABS-CBN and the Alex Gonzaga-starrer “Babaeng Hampaslupa” on TV5.
