ABS-CBN’s first kusina-serye MasterChef Pinoy Edition is poised to become Filipinos’ favorite morning TV habit as its pilot episode that featured Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and the inspiring stories of amateur chef auditionees (Nov 12) claimed an early lead in ratings.

Based on data from Kantar Media, it registered a national TV rating of 18.1%, while GMA’s Knock Out (9.7%) and Cielo de Angelina (6.7%) and TV5’s Face to Face (5.3%), trailed very far behind.
Aside from trending on Twitter in the Philippines, it also claimed the eighth spot in the top 20 most watched programs in the country and even scored higher than all of GMA and TV5’s primetime teleseryes.
