Miss International 2012: Japan Wins Title at Home

After Miss China won Miss World 2012 in Mongolia, China, a couple of months ago, Miss International followed suit by crowning the host candidate, Miss Japan.

Miss Japan Ikumi Yoshimatsu bested 68 other delegates when she was crowned Miss International 2012 after a 5-hour coronation night held at the Budokan Martial Arts Hall in Okinawa, Japan. It’s interesting to note that host delegate Yoshimatsu is the first Japanese beauty to clinch the title after Japan consistently placed in the semi-finals since 1968.

Here are the complete results…

Now that Miss World and Miss International have both crowned host delegates, I’m wondering if Miss Earth and Miss Universe will do the same. It’s highly improbable in Miss Universe, I know, but quite possible in Miss Earth. 🙂
