Jeric Gonzales and Thea Tolentino, both from South Luzon, emerged as the male and female winner of "Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break."

Protege’s Final Battle was held on Sunday night, October 21, at Studio 7 of GMA Network.

The last male Protege stading is Jeric Gonzales of South Luzon. He was originally mentored by Gina Alajar but he went under Jolina Magdangal during a surprise switch earlier this season.

The last female Protege standing, on the other hand, is Thea Tolentino. Thea is also from South Luzon and was mentored by Gina Alajar from beginning to end. She bested Zandra Summer and Elle Ramirez.

Before the announcement of winners, Jeric Gonzales was bestowed the Texters’ Choice Award, which means he received the most number of text votes among the 6 grand finalists.

Jeric and Thea both received P1 million cash, a condominium unit worth P7 million and management contract with GMA-7. The winning mentors–Gina Alajar and Jolina Magdangal–on the other hand, got P500,000 each.
