Derek Ramsay is excited about his 2 upcoming projects on TV5: "The Amazing Race Philippines" and the teleserye "Kidlat."

Next month, the camera will start rolling for the superhero TV series on TV5, “Kidlat.” This is Ramsay’s first teleserye with the Kapatid network since his transfer. His last teleserye was “Magkaribal” on ABS-CBN two years ago.

During the story conference for “Kidlat” on September 24, the host/actor said that he’s excited for the project because it will be the first time that he will portray a superhero and at the same time he will be working with a new set of people.

Ramsay’s leading ladies in “Kidlat” are Kapatid drama princesses Ritz Azul and Nadine Samonte. Other cast-members include Wendell Ramos, Joy Viado, Jay Manalo, and Baron Geisler, under the direction of Mike Tuviera who recently transferred to TV5 after helming GMA-7’s “Faithfully.”

Meanwhile, Ramsay is also looking forward to hosting the Philippine franchise of the Emmy Award winning reality series “The Amazing Race.” The Kapatid hunk mentioned that one of the reasons why he became a Kapatid is because this program was offered to him.
