‘T.G.I.S.’ Returns, GMA-7 is Opening Auditions for the Show

GMA-7's hit youth-oriented program in the 90s, T.G.I.S., is making a comeback.

“T.G.I.S.” was a hit youth-oriented drama series which aired weekly on GMA-7 from August 12, 1995 to November 27, 1999. It starred Bobby Andrews, Angelu de Leon, Raven Villanueva, Red Sternberg, Michael Flores, Onemig Bondoc, Rica Peralejo, Ciara Sotto, Jake Roxas, and Bernadette Alysson.

As the show progressed, we were introduced to new cast-members like Dingdong Dantes, Antoinette Taus, Sunshine Dizon, Polo Ravales, Dino Guevarra, and Anne Curtis.

The show, which had a good 4-year run, won 3 awards, was made into a movie and spinned-off to a new show titled “Growing Up.”

After 12 years, the Kapuso Network decided to bring “T.G.I.S.” back to the small screen with a new generation of teen stars (Perhaps they can cast the original members as parents of the new batch).

In this line, GMA-7 is holding an audition today, September 13, until 5:00pm at GMA Annex. If you are 14-18 years old, male or female with pleasing personality, good looks and can sing, dance and act, then you can be part of the new batch of T.G.I.S. stars. Just bring a head shot and a full-body photo and look for Diego Llorico.
