Cine Filipino – A New Independent Film Festival is Born

Cine Filipino Film Festival offers PhP1.5M grant for filmmakers to produce their dream projects.

MediaQuest, TV5 and Unitel, in cooperation with PLDT Smart Foundation, have launched the Cine Filipino Film Festival last August 17, 2012 at AliMall Cineplex in Cubao, Quezon City.

This new film festival, which is kinda similar to Cinemalaya and Cinema One Originals, is offering PhP1.5M grant for filmmakers to produce their dream projects.

Those who want to join must submit their feature-length narrative scripts on or before the deadline of October 8, 2012.

The Short Filmmakers Section is open to student filmmakers. Only 10 student-filmmakers will make the shortlist for this category. Completed short films must be submitted for this Section between September 19, 2012 and deadline of December 31, 2012.

Premiere screening of films under both Feature-Length and Short Filmmakers Sections will take place during the CineFilipino Festival, which will be held from March 13 to March 19, 2013.

All entries should be sent to CineFilipino Film Festival office at 1196 Pablo Ocampo Extension, corner Zapote Street, Makati City. For more details about CineFilipino, interested filmmakers may call (02) 896-2049 or send an email to info@cinefilipino.com.
