"The Reunion" is a fun barkada movie that has a road-trip feel with an energetic cast that are eager to please.

Gist: Four friends attend a reunion. There they discover (or assume) that their careers did not took off the way they had wanted because of a single event in high school that also compelled their then girlfriends to break up with them. Believing that their misfortunes will be reversed if they resolve their past mistakes, the barkada searches for their ex-girlfriends to deal with the issues that has kept them from moving on.

The Positive: The Reunion is a fun barkada movie that has a road-trip feel with an energetic cast that are eager to please. The way the songs of phenomenal band–Eraserheads–became intertwined stories works.

The Negative: The subplots are quite underdeveloped. The airport chase ending is a rom-com cliche that we’ve already seen several times before.
