26-year-old Mark Mabasa is eliminated during the second results night of "The X Factor Philippines" on Sunday, August 12, 2012.

While I have two contestants in mind that should have hit bottom 2 in tonight’s episode of “The X Factor Philippines,” it was 2 of my favorites instead: Mark Mabasa and Take Off.

Over 25s mentor, Pilita Corrales, voted to eliminate Take Off in favor of her protege, Mark Mabasa. Groups mentor Gary Valenciano, on the other hand, voted to eliminate Mark Mabasa in favor of his protege Take Off.

Martin Nievera voted to eliminate Take Off while Charice voted to eliminate Mark Mabasa which resulted to the first deadlock this season. This means the public’s votes will break the tie and become the deciding factor for elimination.

Since Mabasa got the lowest vote of 3.72% versus Takeoff’s 3.90%, the 26-year-old got the boot.
