Four talented composers are going to compete with each other with their praise songs for A Song Of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival’s monthly finals on Sunday.
These song entries were judged by the country’s veteran songwriters within this month’s weekly eliminations.
First song entry is “Ikaw Ama’y Handang Magpatawad”, written by Rogelio Fernandez from Boac, Marinduque. Cancer-survivor Chad Borja will interpret his song. “Surrender” was the song entry that won in the second weekly elimination. It was composed by Joash Alden Ruazol and sung by the RnB sensation, Thor. Judy Honor, a substitute conductor of the Senate Choir, is Anton Estrella Jr.’s interpreter for his song, “Purihin Mo ang Dios, O Pilipinas”. And last but not the least, “Dakilang Kabutihan” which was penned by Wisdom Ison and performed by Philippine Idol’s Gail Blanco.
To sit as jurors this Sunday are OPM Secretary Dingdong Avanzado, OPM Inspirational Diva Jamie Rivera and ASOP’s very own “Kilabot ng mga Kompositor”Mon del Rosario.
Who will win in this month’s elimination and will have the chance to be the Song of Year in the upcoming Grand Finals’ Night in Smart-Araneta on September?
A Song of Praise Music Festival’s 11th monthly finals airs on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on UNTV Channel 37 hosted by Richard Reynoso and Toni Rose Gayda.
